The sales level in 2016 was fairly close to the level five years ago: in 2011, News Corp had sales of $9.10 billion. Contributing to the drop in overall sales was the 6.9% decline in News and Information Services, from $5.73 billion to $5.34 billion. There were also decreases in sales in Book Publishing (down 1.3% to $1.65 billion) and Cable Network Programming (down 3.2% to $484.00 million) . However, these declines were partially offset by the increase in sales of Digital Real Estate Services (up 31.5% to $822.00 million) and Other (up 100.0% to $2.00 million) .
