Sales Analysis. During the year ended December of 2016, sales at Yahoo were $5.17 billion. This is an increase of 4.0% versus 2015, when the company's sales were $4.97 billion. The sales level in 2016 was fairly close to the level five years ago: in 2011, Yahoo had sales of $4.98 billion. Sales of Search saw an increase that was more than double the company's growth rate: sales were up 28.3% in 2016, from $2.08 billion to $2.67 billion. Not all segments of Yahoo experienced an increase in sales in 2016: sales of Other fell 36.5% to $514.50 million. Yahoo also experienced decreases in sales in Display Revenue (down 4.5% to $1.98 billion) .
