Base Resources Limited is engaged in the operation of the 100% owned Kwale Mineral Sands Operation (Kwale Operation) in Kenya. The Company's segments include other operations and Kwale operations. The Company's Kwale Operation is located in Kenya, approximately 50 kilometers south from the port of Mombasa and sells rutile, ilmenite and zircon. The Company's other operations include exploration in Kenya. The Company's Kwale project has an annual production of approximately 80,000 tons of rutile, approximately 360,000 tons of ilmenite and approximately 30,000 tons of zircon. The Company's ilmenite and rutile are used as feedstock for the production of titanium dioxide pigment, in titanium metal and fluxes for welding rods and wire. The Company's zircon is used in ceramic tiles and various applications, such as refractories, foundries and specialty chemicals. The Company, through its subsidiary Base Titanium Limited, owns and operates the Kwale project.

Sales Analysis. Base Resources Limited reported sales of A$169.04 million (US$126.91 million) for the fiscal year ending June of 2016. This represents an increase of 16.2% versus 2015, when the company's sales were A$145.50 million. This was the third consecutive year of growth at Base Resources Limited.
