Sales Analysis. Marcopolo SA reported sales of 2.74 billion Brazilian Reals (US$847.76 million) for the year ending December of 2015. This represents a decrease of 19.4% versus 2014, when the company's sales were 3.40 billion Brazilian Reals. The sales level in 2015 was fairly close to the level five years ago: in 2010, Marcopolo SA had sales of 2.96 billion Brazilian Reals. Contributing to the drop in overall sales was the 55.5% decline in Volar / Van, from 798.70 million Brazilian Reals to 355.50 million Brazilian Reals. There were also decreases in sales in Road (down 13.9% to 1.05 billion Brazilian Reals) and Urban Buses (down 13.2% to 913.20 million Brazilian Reals) and Micros (down 21.8% to 76.90 million Brazilian Reals) . However, these declines were partially offset by the increase in sales of Financial (up 40.1% to 252.60 million Brazilian Reals) and Chassis (up 70.8% to 93.60 million Brazilian Reals) .
