Cap SA Company Snapshot
Cap SA operates in the Blast furnaces and steel mills sector. In addition to historical fundamental analyses, the complete report available to purchase compares Cap SA with three other steel companies in Latin America: Industrias CH SAB de CV of Mexico (2015 sales of 29.26 billion Mexican Pesos [US$1.58 billion] ), Grupo Simec SAB de CV of Mexico (25.10 billion Mexican Pesos [US$1.36 billion] ), and Corporacion Aceros Arequipa S.A. which is based in Peru (2.29 billion Peruvian New Sols [US$677.26 million] of which 77% was Construction Bars and Wire).

Sales Analysis. Cap SA reported sales of 970.57 billion Chilean Pesos (US$1.46 billion) for the year ending December of 2015. This represents a decrease of 5.1% versus 2014, when the company's sales were 1.02 trillion Chilean Pesos. The sales level in 2015 was fairly close to the level five years ago: in 2010, Cap SA had sales of 1.02 trillion Chilean Pesos. Contributing to the drop in overall sales was the 19.1% decline in Mining, from 538.34 billion Chilean Pesos to 435.54 billion Chilean Pesos. There were also decreases in sales in Steel (down 7.1% to 291.40 billion Chilean Pesos) . However, these declines were partially offset by the increase in sales of Steel Processing (up 11.1% to 245.86 billion Chilean Pesos) .
