Valmet Oyj Company Snapshot
Valmet Oyj operates in the Coal mining services sector. In addition to historical fundamental analyses, the complete report available to purchase compares Valmet Oyj with three other coal companies in Europe: Lubelski Wegiel Bogdanka S.A. of Poland (2016 sales of 1.79 billion Polish New Zlotys [US$524.61 million] of which 97% was Sale of Coal), Jastrzebska Spolka Weglowa SA of Poland (6.73 billion Polish New Zlotys [US$1.98 billion] of which 53% was Coal), and Raspadskaya PAO which is based in Russia (30.78 billion Russian Rubles [US$543.87 million] of which 100% was Coal Mining).

Sales Analysis. Valmet Oyj reported sales of 2.93 billion Euro (US$3.58 billion) for the year ending December of 2016. This represents a decrease of 0.1% versus 2015, when the company's sales were 2.93 billion Euro. The sales level in 2016 was fairly close to the level five years ago: in 2011, Valmet Oyj had sales of 2.70 billion Euro. Contributing to the drop in overall sales was the 9.5% decline in Pulp and Energy, from 913.00 million Euro to 826.00 million Euro. There were also decreases in sales in Paper (down 1.8% to 647.00 million Euro) . However, these declines were partially offset by the increase in sales of Services (up 3.1% to 1.16 billion Euro) and Automation (up 26.6% to 290.00 million Euro) .
