This represents a decrease of 1.2% versus 2015, when the company's sales were 54.68 billion Euro. The sales level in 2016 was fairly close to the level five years ago: in 2011, Peugeot S.A. had sales of 59.91 billion Euro. Contributing to the drop in overall sales was the 1.2% decline in Automobile Division, from 37.51 billion Euro to 37.07 billion Euro. There were also decreases in sales in Automotive Equipment (down 0.6% to 16.82 billion Euro) . However, these declines were partially offset by the increase in sales of Finance Companies (up 1.4% to 1.26 billion Euro) .
