The sales level in 2016 was fairly close to the level five years ago: in 2011, St. Gobain had sales of 42.12 billion Euro. Contributing to the drop in overall sales was the 3.2% decline in Building Distribution, from 18.85 billion Euro to 18.25 billion Euro. There were also decreases in sales in Building Materials - Exterior Solutions (down 3.1% to 5.13 billion Euro) and High Performance Materials (down 0.1% to 4.39 billion Euro) . However, these declines were partially offset by the increase in sales of Building Materials - Interior Solutions (up 1.2% to 5.98 billion Euro) and Flat Glass (up 3.0% to 5.34 billion Euro) and Other (up 90.9% to 21.00 million Euro) .
