Danone SA Company Snapshot
Danone SA operates within the Dry, condensed, evaporated products sector. In addition to historical fundamental analyses, the complete report available to purchase compares Danone with three other European food conglomerates: Nestle S.A. of Switzerland (2016 sales of 89.47 billion Swiss Francs [US$93.78 billion] of which 29% was Zone Americas), Unilever N.V. of the Netherlands (52.71 billion Euro [US$61.44 billion] of which 38% was Personal Care), and Associated British Foods plc which is based in the United Kingdom (£13.40 billion [US$17.40 billion] of which 44% was Retail).

Sales Analysis. During the year ended December of 2016, sales at Danone were 21.94 billion Euro (US$25.58 billion). This is a decrease of 2.1% versus 2015, when the company's sales were 22.41 billion Euro. Contributing to the drop in overall sales was the 4.1% decline in Waters, from 4.77 billion Euro to 4.57 billion Euro. There were also decreases in sales in Fresh Dairy Products (down 2.9% to 10.74 billion Euro) . However, these declines were partially offset by the increase in sales of Early Life Nutrition (up 0.5% to 5.02 billion Euro) and Medical Nutrition (up 1.6% to 1.62 billion Euro) .
