Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited is engaged in the manufacturing of synthetic rutile, ferric chloride, ferrous chloride, iron hydroxide and recovered titanium dioxide (TiO2). The Company's products include beneficiated ilmenite (synthetic rutile), ferric chloride, ferrous chloride and cemox. The Company's Plant is located at Edayar Industrial Development Area. The Company's synthetic rutile product is used in pigment manufacture by chloride process and flux component in welding electrodes. Its ferric chloride is used in desalination plants, water and sewage treatment, and pharmaceutical preparations. Its ferrous chloride product is used for color removal in approximately six common effluent treatment plants in Tirupur and in treatment of effluent from bleaching and dyeing units. Its production capacity of Synthetic Rutile is 50,000 tons per annum (TPA), ferric chloride is 30,000 TPA, ferrous chloride is 82,500 TPA and cemox is 20,000 TPA.

Sales Analysis. Cochin Minerals And Rutile Limited reported sales of 1.49 billion Indian Rupees (US$22.88 million) for the fiscal year ending March of 2017. This represents a decrease of 6.1% versus 2016, when the company's sales were 1.58 billion Indian Rupees.
