Bank of Ireland Company Snapshot
Bank of Ireland operates in the Commercial banks sector. In addition to historical fundamental analyses, the complete report available to purchase compares Bank of Ireland with three other banks in Europe: Credit Industriel et Commercial SA of France (2016 sales of 4.99 billion Euro [US$5.39 billion] ), Swedbank AB of Sweden (53.41 billion Swedish Kronor [US$6.07 billion] of which 44% was Swedish Banking), and Svenska Handelsbanken AB which is also based in Sweden (54.37 billion Swedish Kronor [US$6.18 billion] of which 38% was Home Markets Sweden).

Sales Analysis. Bank of Ireland reported sales of 5.51 billion Euro (US$5.96 billion) for the year ending December of 2016. This represents a decrease of 6.1% versus 2015, when the company's sales were 5.87 billion Euro. Contributing to the drop in overall sales was the 16.1% decline in Retail Uk, from 715.00 million Euro to 600.00 million Euro. There were also decreases in sales in Corporate and Treasury (down 8.8% to 814.00 million Euro) . However, these declines were partially offset by the increase in sales of Retail Ireland (up 0.3% to 1.44 billion Euro) and Bank of Ireland Life (up 8.9% to 221.00 million Euro) .
