Saras Company Snapshot
Saras operates in the Petroleum refining sector. In addition to historical fundamental analyses, the complete report available to purchase compares Saras with three other petroleum refiners in Europe: Hellenic Petroleum S.A. of Greece (2016 sales of 6.68 billion Euro [US$7.79 billion] of which 86% was Refining), Tupras Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri AS of Turkey (34.85 billion Turkish Liras [US$9.87 billion] ), and Motor Oil SA which is based in Greece (6.36 billion Euro [US$7.41 billion] of which 72% was Refinery).

Sales Analysis. Saras reported sales of 6.87 billion Euro (US$8.01 billion) for the year ending December of 2016. This represents a decrease of 16.6% versus 2015, when the company's sales were 8.24 billion Euro. Contributing to the drop in overall sales was the 21.2% decline in Refining, from 7.94 billion Euro to 6.26 billion Euro. There were also decreases in sales in Marketing (down 15.8% to 1.66 billion Euro) and Power Generation (down 9.7% to 468.08 million Euro) and Other (down 4.6% to 21.98 million Euro) . However, these declines were partially offset by the increase in sales of Wind Energy (up 5.8% to 7.83 million Euro) .
