Oman Chromite Co SAOG (OCC) is an Oman-based company engaged in the production and distribution of refractory materials (chips and fines) and metal lumps. The Company's products include metallurgical grade ore and refractory grade ore. The Company's production process includes drilling, blasting, excavation, storage and transportation of ore from the mountains near Sohar. OCC's plant is equipped with a 3-deck screening system. The Company is also involved in other industrial mining activities, such as construction aggregates, limestone, marble and others, through its joint venture, AL Batinah Quarries LLC, in which the Company holds a 45% share of the private capital. As of December 31, 2011, the Company's major shareholders included the Government of Oman, Oman Mining Company LLC and Al Qurum Establishment LLC. The Company's products are exported to different countries.

Sales Analysis. During the year ended December of 2016, sales at Oman Chromite Company were 2.25 million Omani Rials (US$5.86 million). This is an increase of 28.2% versus 2015, when the company's sales were 1.76 million Omani Rials. The sales level in 2016 was fairly close to the level five years ago: in 2011, Oman Chromite Company had sales of 2.27 million Omani Rials.
