Poynting Holdings Limited (Poynting) is engaged in the manufacture and retail of antennas and software. The Company operates in three segments: Commercial division, Defence division and Cellular Coverage Solutions division (CCS). Commercial division is located in Samrand, Pretoria where it is engaged in the development, manufacture and sale of a broad range of communication products. Defence division is located in Wynberg, Johannesburg, where it is engaged in the development, manufacture and sale of specialised and defence orientated communication products. (CCS)is located in Samrand, Pretoria and is engaged in two main areas. The first is in the design, manufacture and sales of base station solution to cellular networks. Secondly CCS provides and installs antennnas and equipment nationwide to end users of wireless telecomms services. on July 1, 2012 , the Company acquire Radiant Antennas (Proprietary) Limited.

Sales Analysis. During the year ended June of 2012, sales at Poynting Holdings Limited were 80.97 million South African Rands (US$8.61 million). This is a decrease of 0.7% versus 2011, when the company's sales were 81.55 million South African Rands. Contributing to the drop in overall sales was the 20.1% decline in Commercial, from 44.37 million South African Rands to 35.46 million South African Rands.
