Its products are used on electron microscopes and ion-beam systems in academic institutions and industrial applications, including semi-conductors, renewable energy, mining, metallurgy and forensics. Its products include AZtecOne and X-Max Extreme detector, among others.

Sales Analysis. During the year ended March of 2017, sales at Oxford Instruments plc were £348.50 million (US$453.77 million). This is a decrease of 3.6% versus 2016, when the company's sales were £361.60 million.
