This was the third consecutive year of growth at Kyocera. The sales level in 2019 was fairly close to the level five years ago: in 2014, Kyocera had sales of $14.43 billion. Sales of Electronic Device Group saw an increase that was more than double the company's growth rate: sales were up 19.2% in 2019, from $2.76 billion to $3.29 billion. Kyocera also saw significant increases in sales in Industry Automotive Profile Business (up 8.9% to $2.83 billion) . Not all segments of Kyocera experienced an increase in sales in 2019: sales of Life Enviroment Business fell 28.8% to $721.83 million. Kyocera also experienced decreases in sales in Communication Business (down 1.7% to $2.27 billion) and Semiconductor Parts Group (down 3.4% to $2.25 billion) and Other Businesses (down 9.0% to $154.88 million) .
